Passenger Charter — Your Rights and Our Commitments

1. What is our Passenger Charter?

Our Passenger charter is your guide to travelling with Etihad Rail, the developer and operator of the UAE National Railway Network. It sets out what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you. It covers everything from buying a ticket to reaching your final destination. It applies to train services operated by and branded as Etihad Rail.

We place our customers at the centre of everything we do. Your safety, well-being, and fair treatment are always our highest priorities. We aim to provide excellent travel experience and make it easy for you to contact us. We will always listen carefully and consider your individual circumstances.

Our Passenger charter is an evolving document. We are committed to working with federal and local stakeholders to ensure it remains up to date and fair. Whenever we make changes to our Passenger charter or service provision, we aim to publish details at least 30 days before changes take effect.

2. Who are we and what do we do?

Etihad Rail is the developer and operator of the UAE National Railway Network, a strategic national project designed to enhance connectivity across the country, bring communities and destinations closer together, and support sustainable mobility and economic growth.

Etihad Rail operates the UAE’s national passenger railway network, which will continue to expand as additional stations and destinations are introduced. This phased rollout allows us to ensure that every part of the journey, from stations to onboard services, meets our standards for safety, reliability, and comfort from day one.

As the Passenger network continues to expand, more stations and destinations will be introduced gradually and announced through our official channels. Once complete, the network will connect 11 cities and regions across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, Al Sila’, Al Dhannah, Al Mirfa, Madinat Zayed, Liwa, Al Faya, and Al Dhaid.

Our ambition is to provide Passengers and daily commuters with a safe, reliable, comfortable, and convenient travel experience, supported by a service that is clear, customer-focused, and easy to use.
